Ornate Victorian Furniture

     I recently was lucky enough to purchase this amazing breakfront. It appears to be a very distinct  RJ Horner  real victorian piece of furniture that is not often seen.

     Look at the details.  Imagine what it took to hand carve all of this.  This piece is still in amazing condition. 

I think I am in love.  This Cherub Chair blows me away. 

     This Morris Rocker with Lionshead arms and Claw feet is probably one of the most comfortable chairs I have ever sat in.

     This desk is probably round 200 years old and is absolutely amazing.  It is a little bit less ornate but the carved details are gorgeous.

I think I need to go back to the store and take more pictures.  I just got a new camera and I now see what I will need to make this blog rock. 

Father's Day and Man's Gift's

I decided I needed to take a stroll through the store  to look for what I will call "Man Gift's" for Father's Day.   So I put on my "Guy Eye" and this is some of what I found. 

Some men think they are"Chief" or maybe they collect "Indian Chief's"

Some men can be "Clown's" or collects them

 Some  are "Pioneer's"

Then there is the "Sport's Buff" Men.  Or "Fisherman"

 

Or even one who just likes to tell "Fish Stories"

 

Another man talks about the one that got away

Or the Man that "Love's the Sea"

 

Or the guy who just likes to sit and contemplate.

 Let us not forget the Golfing Man  and the Baseball Man

 

Or the Handy Dandy Man

I'd hate to forget the Travelling man

But the first man most of us treasure is our Dad.   I wish I still had my dad. How I would love getting just one more chance to get the privilege to go shop for just one special gift for him.   Unfortunately I can only encourage and assist you in purchasing a gift in my store to honor your dad. 

Just remember whichever type of dad you have be grateful for the special treasure you have when you have a dad.

Time And Changes

I was in the store yesterday for 1 hour and not once but twice in that short time I heard thos magical word.  "The store has changed a lot".  I wondered is that good or bad so I asked and I loved the answer it was "I love the fact that every time I come in here I find new merchandise and I love the way it all is displayed".   It may not seem like a lot  but to me it was music to me ears.  I keep trying new things.  

We have even added color.  Yes, wall color.  I  LOVE RED!

New booths, New Look, New Meet Up... I love change

This past weekend was our Spring Sale and I am very excited to share photo's from many of the amazing "Creative Soul's" that we call "Dealers".

I don't know why I love the color red so much. In my store... in my dining room... Even in my bathroom

It amazes me how pretty Red and Blue can be. 

Rich red color's mixed with pastel blue is yummy.

Primitive mixed with fine china is incredibly elegant. I love the versatility.

Can anyone tell me why Noritake and Nippon look the same? 

I haven't figured out why I love glass!  Glass of many colors.

Our Ever Evolving "Designer Green Kitchen"

Stage 1 Our Before  I wanted this to be a kind of easy to see view of "Our Answer to The Disposable Society" we live in.  The furniture and lighting are how they were displayed good or bad in our store when Kevin saw it's potential.

Stage 2 Since our concept involved using a 250 square foot area in the front of our store (literally in our front window). we had to do a few  things to difine the area.  Since we just happened to have a few trellis's sitting there we suddenly had walls.  The floor you see above is one of the few items we had to go purchase for our project so we headed to Habitat Restore to keep to our Green Theme.

I guess only time will tell... Kevin Alden Reed has proven that with just 250 square feet of space you can have an amazing Green "Designer" Kitchen and Family Area.
